Grid Planning

We’d be happy to create an efficient, cost-optimized network plan for all planning phases in accordance with HOAI, from preliminary to detailed planning. In doing so, we take into account, as needed, material specifications, GIS requirements, standard regulations of road authorities, cost-reducing opportunities for co-installation, and sensible options for shared use of existing telecommunications infrastructure. We provide our services independently of any construction or supply interests, thereby ensuring an optimal technical and economic solution. We use state-of-the-art IT solutions for analysis and planning. All results are available in digital form throughout the entire planning process. Upon request, we review third-party plans for quality, timeliness, and completeness.

Permit Planning

Permit planning follows the preliminary design phase. Here, we gather all necessary information for your expansion project from the road authorities, submit permit applications to the relevant agencies, review incoming permits, and ensure site and route security. Communication and constructive dialogue with all parties involved in the permitting process are important to us. Our experienced staff members take an efficient, structured approach and are highly skilled in liaising with public agencies and involved third parties. We provide you with regular updates on which construction areas have been approved by which authorities.

Construction Management

As part of its construction management services, Netzkontor assumes technical supervision, coordination, organization, and schedule monitoring for your expansion area. In consultation with you, our staff leads regular construction meetings. Our facilitative approach ensures a smooth and constructive process. Our senior construction managers also handle change order management on your behalf. In accordance with the schedule agreed upon with you, we issue notices of default to parties involved when necessary. The senior construction manager is happy to oversee the acceptance of (sub)projects and always keeps cost management under control. Measurements and invoices are reviewed, and statutes of limitations are tracked. This allows us to maintain control throughout the construction phase.

On-Site Construction Supervision

Our on-site construction supervisors inspect the execution and quality of the construction work for your Gigabit project on-site. This ensures that you have professionals at your construction sites who, thanks to their specific expertise, can expertly monitor the installation of materials. Our specialists verify that construction activities comply with the documents approved for execution. Keeping construction logs is standard practice for us. We’re also happy to conduct random spot checks on your behalf. Of course, Netzkontor monitors the proper rectification of previously identified defects. You will receive a systematic compilation of construction files as well as GIS and photographic documentation from us.

Surveying

In line with our “one-stop-shop” concept, Netzkontor offers to survey the telecommunications lines during the construction phase. Our highly skilled surveyors use state-of-the-art equipment with GPS and optimized software support. Regular continuing education ensures high quality standards and precise surveying results, guaranteeing satisfaction even for potential funding agencies. The data is delivered to you in a customer-friendly format, such as Shape or DWG/DXF. Whether you need coverage for specific days, 100% availability, or a particular street—we’re as flexible as you need us to be and would be happy to provide you with a competitive quote.

Network Documentation

Netzkontor continuously provides comprehensive and complete GIS and fiber-optic documentation on the construction progress of your broadband project. Our company takes the actual construction routes into account and—if necessary—adjusts the relevant documents to reflect the actual construction. This ensures you receive “as-built” location documentation in GIS format. The corrected planning documents are provided in standard file formats. Documentation in accordance with GIS supplementary provisions is, of course, possible. Grant-funded projects are part of our daily work, and we’re happy to assist you with any questions from the funding agencies. At your request, we can also communicate directly with atene KOM and PwC.

Project Management

We’re happy to handle project controlling and budget monitoring, organize project status meetings, prepare regular reports, and implement targeted escalation management to ensure your project’s success. Technology Upgrades

Thanks to our long-standing relationships and partnerships with leading manufacturers and distributors of active and passive components in the communications sector, we are often involved as early as the testing phase of new technologies and product upgrades, providing support through feedback and measurement parameters gathered from field tests on the live network.

Our range of services in the area of technology and network upgrades covers all necessary project phases, from network assessment through redesign, procurement, implementation, and documentation—and, if needed, the coordination of involved internal and external third-party entities—all the way to “turnkey” handover.

We are also happy to implement specific network expansion measures (cell splits), DAA technologies (COS/R-Phy), or transmission technologies (VNS/DWDM) for you, with a customized scope of work, as agreed upon.

Network Simulations

We use state-of-the-art GIS and simulation tools to ensure precise planning. In addition to a detailed analysis of the current status to identify potential problems early on, our network simulation tools also allow us to look into the future: “what-if” analyses provide insight into the effects of planned measures. In this way, our simulation identifies in advance what additional interventions will be necessary to achieve your goals. This allows us to achieve a high degree of automation in the planning of fiber-optic and coaxial networks, thereby eliminating sources of error, reducing costs, and increasing the reliability of your planning.

Measurements

We specialize in a wide range of measurements and offer our customers a professional, reliable, and customizable service. 

The essential components of commissioning and acceptance testing are integral to our range of services. This includes individually agreed-upon tests of quality parameters as part of maintenance work or troubleshooting supported by measurement technology. An experienced team of experts is well-versed in the latest technologies and methods and has access to state-of-the-art measurement equipment to measure the required quality parameters in broadband networks with a wide variety of topologies and transmission media (HFC/PON/etc.). In consultation with our customers, we document and analyze the results—and if there is a deviation from the target value, we take appropriate measures.
